‘Time heals almost everything. Give time time.’

SLOMO PRESENTS:

Welcome to the Slomo 72 Hour Retreat. Thursday 4th – Sunday 7th September 2025.

Three days and nights uniquely curated by Josie and Rob da Bank to give you time to reconnect to the body, mind and spirit

With carefully thought out programming to expand, deepen and nurture yourself with like minded people. From morning meditations to evening bonfires we will create an incredible journey together and you will go home feeling utterly restored.

From our studies, practice and research over the last two decades we know what a wonderful experience life is but also how stressful it can be. Modern science shows that it can take up to 72 hours for cortisol levels to return to normal after a period of stress or other factors that elevate cortisol and our aim is to get you back to the baseline over the 72 hours and have you leave as if you’ve just been unwrapped for the first time.

Set in a beautiful house by the sea on the Isle of Wight surrounded by woodland, a wild flower meadow,  gardens, and nature with every corner designed by Josie, the retreat space is truly divine. Add in a swimming pool and deck for lounging, soak in a woodfired hot tub or sweat in a sauna with icy plunges to reset and energise.

All our bedrooms are uniquely designed by Josie and filled with bohemian finds, beautiful linen and towels and privacy. Each guest will find a Slomo goody bag in their room with a journal and a few other wellness surprises. The bathrooms will be filled with homemade Slomo salts and organic products.

the setting

There will always be an abundance of super healthy food to choose from. All meals on our 72 Hour Retreat are sourced from local Island farms with a huge emphasis on nutritional plant-based feasting. (Gluten and sugar-free options always available.)

There will always be homemade botanical teas, adaptogenic teas and coffees,  fresh fruit and healthy snacks on hand. On a hot day you can expect homemade sugar-free ice lollies poolside or a slice of good vibes carrot cake fireside.

Robby & Josie da Bank

Slomo Wellness Founders & Hosts

Slomo is the brainchild of Josie & Robby. Having met aged 18 at Goldsmiths University over a love of disco, vintage camper vans and Vivienne Westwood, Robby and Josie have been together ever since. 22 years ago they created the pioneering boutique music festival, Bestival and their family festival Camp Bestival: both born from a love of music, fun and making people happy through insane decor, sound and art installations.

Alongside festivals, Josie and Robby have always had a passion for wellbeing and have practised meditation together for 30 years. They are both trained yoga and meditation practitioners and - in recent years - have become big advocates of contrast therapy.

As seasoned pros in bringing people together for forward-thinking, immersive experiences in a festival-like setting, Josie and Robby have once again evolved what began as a hobby into their latest venture. The couple have turned their hand to the wellbeing space, ensuring that Slomo offers something genuinely unique, and remains ahead of the curve. Enter the pioneering concept of Next Generation Wellbeing.

Slomo is the ultimate antidote to 21st century living: Josie, Robby and their team have an infectious enthusiasm for sharing their love of Next Generation Wellbeing, bringing people together over a forward-thinking immersive experience, fusing a magical mix of Nordic wellbeing principles, music and the art of relaxation.

With a proven track record of curating original wellbeing and lifestyle concepts based on community interaction, Josie and Robby are genuine tastemakers, seasoned innovators and brilliant event curators

TRAVEL

We recommend you drive or take the train to Lymington Pier and leave your car there for the weekend as you won’t need it on the island and ferries can be a little expensive (unless you plan to explore before or after and if that’s the case there is plenty of room to park)

We will pick you up from Yarmouth Town Wightlink terminal and drop you back into Yarmouth on the Sunday or you can arrive by taxi (we can pre book). There is the option of private boat transfer on request too.
