WELCOME TO SLOMO

We are an antidote to the insane chitter-chatter of 21st-century life, where we all seem to be whirring around in ever more stressful circles

Our mission is to fast-track people into experiencing all the physical and mental health benefits of saunas and ice baths.

Slomo Saunas

People relaxing and enjoying the floating sauna in the Isle of Wight, with lounge chairs and a bathtub, in front of a small wooden structure labeled 'SLOMO.'

When we created Bestival in 2004, it quickly became one of the UK’s best-loved festivals, alongside its sister family festival, Camp Bestival. Whilst we’re still running world-class festivals, our other passion lies in saunas and ice baths, and we aim to become the best-loved in that market too! Put simply, we love creating new and immersive environments to make people happy.

Slomo is many things… from Next Generation Contrast Therapy with our Nordic spas to carefully curated retreats and meditation courses. It’s all brought to you by Robby and Josie da Bank, with over 30 years of experience in the wellness and events field.

Our mission is to help people quickly unlock the physical and mental health benefits of saunas and ice baths.

Physically, you can expect improved cardiovascular fitness, reduced high blood pressure, relief from asthma, and even promising research on Alzheimer’s and pain relief.

Mentally, you can alleviate symptoms of depression and anxiety, boost your mood, increase appetite, and generally reduce stress levels. It’s our happy time in the sauna!

what does it mean?

So, what does Next Generation Contrast Therapy mean? It means we build, sell, supply, and offer sessions involving both hot and cold therapy—saunas, ice baths, and cold plunges—at our sites across the UK. With permanent bases at a National Trust site in Compton Bay on the Isle of Wight, a beautiful boatyard in Christchurch, and new locations coming to London and the West Country, Slomo is always on the move. We’re also popping up at festivals and private parties across the UK, including Wilderness and Camp Bestival.

We’re also returning to King’s Cross in January 2025 as part of their Mind Your Brain campaign, with a six-week run in the heart of the capital, showcasing our biggest pop-up yet. Additionally, we’ve just launched the UK’s first floating sauna on the Isle of Wight.

So, what’s your Slomo?
